Jesus Loves you! Q & A
Q: “Jesus Loves you.” Isn’t that just something people say?
A: “Jesus Loves you!” Chances are, you have heard that phrase before. Maybe you have seen it on a billboard or a sign at a sporting event? It has been said for years. It may even sound a little trite. But, that doesn’t change the Truth of it. The truth is, Jesus does indeed love you!
The Bible says that the Word of God is TRUTH and Jesus is the Word. (John 17; John 1)
John 3:16 says, “ God loved the people in the world so much that he gave his one and only Son to save them. As a result, everyone who believes in the Son will not die. Instead, they will live forever with God.’
Q: Yeah, but I haven’t been a good person.
A. The Bible tells us that EVERYONE has fallen short. NO one is “good enough.” We have all sinned. (Romans 3:23) God has shown great mercy and compassion on us and has sent His Son to take our place.
1 John 4:9-10 says this, “This is how God showed that he loves us: He sent his only Son to come and live in the world. He did that so that we could have true life with God because of his Son. This shows what love is: It is not that we have loved God, but that he loved us. He loved us so much that he sent his Son to save us from sin. He sent Jesus to die as a sacrifice, to take the punishment for our sins.”
Q: Why would Jesus die for me? Isn’t that mean of God to do that to His Son?
A: Jesus is One with God. The plan of humanity’s salvation was planned out before we were even created! Jesus wasn’t killed or murdered. He willingly chose to lay down His life so that we could be in a relationship with Him as His family. The Bible tells us that the thought of YOU in His family, brought Him the JOY He needed to endure the cross. Jesus was resurrected from the dead and is alive! He is now in Heaven seated next to the Father, praying for us! (Rev. 13:8, John 15:13, John 10:13, Hebrews 12:2, Luke 24:6-7, Romans 8:34 )
Q: How do I become part of God’s family?
A: It's easy! You just have to say yes and receive God’s Love and Grace! Just pray a simple prayer acknowledging all that Jesus has done! Invite Him to Come into your heart and life and ask Him to make Himself real to you. When You invite Jesus into your life, You are making HIm your Lord and Savior. His desire is that you walk with Him and His Ways. We can only do that through God’s help! Jesus Gives us the HOLY SPIRIT to help us. He is our friend, guide and He will NEVER leave us.
Q: What do I do now?
